According to O’Neil, these changes are made to stop visa hopping, “ending the loopholes that allow student and other temporary visa holders to continuously extend their stay in Australia.” By strengthening the Australia visa application, the government aims to grant permits only to genuine students who will contribute to the country’s economic growth.

– Subclass 426 (Domestic Worker (Temporary) – Diplomatic or Consular)
